well, that didn't go well...

October, I mean.  It looks like it slipped away with very little content.  Some times, I don't find myself particularly interesting.  Other times, I just prefer to keep it to myself.  Most times, I would just rather be at the movies.

But here we are staring down the barrel of November, and I have to decide whether I am going to commit to National Blog Posting Month for the Xth time.  This blog has gone on far too long.  November is tricky, too, because I travel, so I need to put some things in the Schedulator in order to keep to the calendar.

(Did you know there is Jane Jetson porn?  I didn't either, but I want to warn you against image searching her name)

I just spent an hour catching up on my blog reading and found myself commentless.  I said to those I Follow that if writer's block keeps me from commenting, then something must be done indeed.  (why is Liquid-plumr misspelled?  The Plumbers objected, didn't they?  Now explain why it needs a hyphen...)

I have learned that promises, pledges, and resolutions will not make me do things I am not otherwise doing.  I prefer to promise on a sure thing.  But winter is coming.  That means I get bored, the nights are long, the weather hilarious, and plenty of road trips.  And I think we all know by now that it always comes back.  Mostly only 1 tweak-mark clockwise, but it comes back.

I am really telling me, not you, but since you're here....

It is Saturday, in that month that always seems to have more Saturdays than the others.  I have engagements in the city today, then a rainy-day appointment with couch and TiVo tomorrow -- an attempt to answer the sociological question "If you watch an entire season of Mad Men in a day, will you become an alcoholic, a misogynist, or a smoker?"

Any combination is bound to wake up the writer within.

  1. You've been missed this month, and I for one would be thrilled to have you complete in the November blogathon. BUT, how in world does anyone write every single day? Incredible. Hope you are up for it.

  2. I already know I'm not up for the November blogacraziness. But I'm happy to live vicariously through others. :-) Oh - and I never trusted Liquid-plumr specifically because of the spelling. I also won't go to Kwik Kopy.
